I am Kasilof, I am a simple person who know that I am a free person. As such I see the UN as interfearing in my life and I personal have not invited them to. I see our government as trying to create issues of divide and it all seems so benign yet it has not been. People are now starting to be afraid to speak up. Fear is motivating how people vote. I feel that it is every person job to be involed not to sit back and allow the few to basically reign.
I am inviting people who are interested in an America where people return to the knowledge that their personal vote matters. I feel that there is still a way to work within the system and try. I know that in Alaska ONE man started the Veteran's party ok it did not last as there were not enough members and in Ak percentages matter --I think that not trying is the only failure.

HI friends - I thought I'd join to see how we can improve things in the US and see how viable a choice can become.

So far everybody here already knows me and a lot of what I believe in. I'm a lowercase libertarian, but I'll try not to push the extremes here...I know you're not a fan, Jim. I plan to observe more than participate anyway. I'm working on extracting myself from involvement in U.S. federal politics, but I'm very interested in this idea. It's exciting. I think there's a good chance of this leading to some good discussions about ideas on their own merits, which is largely lacking in politics today. And it just might save the country. Fun stuff!

Ryan, don't misunderstand. Libertarians (upper or lower case) are welcome here. I agree with the LP on about 80 percent of things, and the other 20 are fixable with the right approach.
Probably the biggest issue I with some in the LP is that they are so abrasive in their approach to political debate that I know there is no point in trying to talk to them.
One of the benefits of starting fresh is that there are many who share conservative and/or libertarian philosophy but don't feel welcome or at home with either of those parties. Here we can start fresh, and hopefully avoid some of the stereotypical behavior the other parties have become known for.

Most of you know that I am Libertarian. I have come a long way. I grew up as a Democrat. I was up until 2008. I even voted for Hilary in the primary that year...yes I did! But when it looked like BO was going to win...I started doing research and decided that what I grew up with were not my beliefs and voted for McCain in the General election.
I keep doing my homework and research and finally decided that the Libertarian Party was more closely to my views...and that is where I am at this point.

Given the GOP's (gutless other party's) abdication of Constitutional principles...I am interested in hearing what L's think about the 2012 election results.
